Thompson, Tom passed away suddenly as a result of a brain aneurysm on June 3, 2014 at the age of 59. Loving husband of 36 years, and best friend of 44 years to Jan Thompson (Orser). Incredible devoted father of Justin and his wife Nadia, and Jennifer and her husband Michael Robinson. Proud Poppa "T" to his grandchildren Jackson Thompson and Oliver Robinson who were his greatest joy. Son of Bernice and the late Jack Thompson. Brother of John and his wife Lynn. Will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Tom lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel anywhere anytime, ski the gnarly chutes at Kicking Horse Mountain in BC during the winter and spend time at the family cottage in Georgian Bay in the summer, especially if he was in his fishing boat snagging a small mouth bass. Nothing could beat a Georgian Bay Sunset as far as Tom was concerned. Wherever he was, Tom was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends....the more the merrier.

Tom loved helping others and was always there to lend a hand. He has continued to do so through organ donation. We are so proud that Tom was able to donate 5 major organs to others in need.

Visitation will be held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on June 10, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on June 11, 2014 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rotary Foundation, Mikey's Place for Autism or Bunns Kids would be greatly appreciated.
